WHAT IS THE DATA SCIENCE TRAINING PROGRAM AND WHAT CAN YOU ACCOMPLISH AS A STUDENT?

The Data Science program is 33 weeks in length, and prepares students for entry-level positions in big data and adjacent professions. The curriculum is spread across 10 in-depth courses ranging from basic statistics to machine learning and modeling.

Some of the topics you will cover include:

  • Statistical Programming in R
  • Metrics and Data Processing
  • Data Wrangling and Visualization
  • Machine Learning and Modeling

At the end of the program, students will select a real-world data subject, students form teams and begin to wrangle, mine, and analyze their accrued data, ultimately publishing their findings on GitHub and Kaggle.

By learning key programming languages, techniques, and practices used in the technology industry, software developers are proficient in building applications and websites of all types.

Through a combination of expert instruction and hands-on experience, students who complete the program will grow into their new role as creative problem solvers who are ready to develop, upgrade, assess, and document software.
